C. Da Silva (Wines) SA is a House of tradition in Port Wine. Founded in 1862, its current name was defined in the first decades of the twentieth century, when Mr. Clemente da Silva received the company through marriage.
They are light wines, young, easy to drink and intended for the public who are looking for good wines at affordable prices.
At that time, showing an exporting vocation, it directed the first steps towards Brazil and North America, but soon after other markets as the own Europe and Asia.
Today, C. Da Silva's mission is to produce Port wines, with high quality standards that meet the wishes of all consumers, guaranteeing the prestige, reputation and perception of the brand's value.
The company Casa Agrícola da Quinta do falcão owns two farms:
- Quinta do Falcão, in Vila Chã de Ourique (where the offices, the Stables, Rooms of Evidence and Spaces for specific events are located);
- Quinta da Fonte Bela, near the Tagus / Valada, where the winery is located.
The company, started in 1920 by Deonilde Freitas, continued by Germana Freitas and later by Ermelinda Freitas, has always paid special attention to wine.
